The content of higher spatial harmonics is reduced by means of the so-called combined winding. It is shown how this winding must be arranged in stator slots so that the selected groups of spatial harmonics mutually reduce themselves. The results of the theoretical analysis were validated by the measurements on the experimental machine with the implemented combined winding. Eventually these results were compared with those of the machine with the classical three-phase winding.
