The classical NEWS methods are supplemented and improved by new excitations having the intrinsic property of enlarging frequency analysis bandwidth and time domain scales. This is the case of TR-NEWS, recognized as a useful tool for microcracks detection of various complex samples, but also for nonlinear scatterers localization. Associate TR-NEWS experiments have been validated by the large number of simulation results supporting procedure reliability. In this contribution, we concentrated on signal processing and statistical analysis of a NEWS based microdamage imaging technique, which is believed to be a good candidate for sensitive imaging of nonlinear scattering zones.
