Based on the study of morphology, reflectance and micro-Raman spectroscopy of the graphite ore, three types of graphite flakes were distinguished, the shape and size of which are determined by their origin in prograde metamorphic processes, intensity of ductile and brittle deformations and retrograde recrystallization. The extreme lithological diversity of the unit, which is characterized by alternating
individual rock types in the order of cm to dm, and the presence of volcanic admixture in sediments, suggests that the deposition of organic protolite of graphite took place in a shallow water environment during synchronous volcanic activity. Abundant occurrence of Cl-scapolite in calc-silicate rocks and marbles indicate elevated salinity of the marine environment.
