The contribution presents an overview of the current state of knowledge concerning the general agricultural processes in Bohemian prehistory, aiming especially on the evidence for fields and field systems. Due to the limited nature of information, particularly direct field evidence, it concentrates on the botanical and faunal remains and the settlement patterns as reflected in surface collections and excavations. Some concepts are demonstrated using as an example a case study for the region of the Vinoř Brook, Central Bohemia.
