In this study, we explore the absorption edge (defect density) and photo-current upon illumination. Surprisingly, even if the local electrical quality improves, the photo-current detected by FTPS decreases with illumination time. Furthermore, a microscopic model based on grain boundaries to explain the measured dependences is proposed.
