Preparative isoelectric focusing of microorganisms was used for the pre-concentration and/or pre-separation of Micrococcus luteus, Dietzia sp. and Rhodotorula mucilaginosa in cellulose-based separation medium. The cells were subsequently positive analysed by CIEF and MALDI-TOF MS and they were also cultivated.
