Our aim was to simulate the hydrodynamics of internal loop airlift reactor and to compare the simulation results with our experimental measurements. Gas-liquid flow field was simulated with CFD code Fluent 6.3 and the results - liquid interstitial velocity and gas holdup in the riser and downcomer - were compared with experiments.
