Highlights included Fuchou Tang from Peking University presenting single cell profiling of human fetal germ cells, describing differences between male and female cells, Martin Hemberg presented the single cell expression database being set up at the Sanger Center, which will be smoothly searchable through a user-friendly interface and powerful algorithms, Norman Dovichi from the Univ. of Notre Dame presenting single cell proteomics with nearly 6000 proteins mapped in single blastomeres during Xenopus laevis early development, Marc Wadsworth from the MIT presenting single cell profiling of cells from the immune system using the build-it-yourself.
