It became a popular approach for evaluating these quantities in various types of plasma, from laboratory pulsed experiments to fusion plasmas. However, it has often been applied without a critical evaluation of the plasma environment in which it was used, even though the theory of the technique is based entirely on the assumption of an unmagnetized plasma in a thermodynamic equilibrium. While some effects, e.g. ion beams and energetic electrons, have already been studied, there has not been any work done on the effects of strong magnetic fields on the measurements with a TLP.At least for the magnetic confinement devices in fusion, this is a very important subject. We shall explain the influence of the magnetic field suppression Pracoviště Ústav fyziky plazmatu Kontakt Vladimíra Kebza, kebza@ipp.cas.cz, Tel.: 266 052 975 Rok sběru 2016
