CeCoGe is an antiferromagnet with the Ce magnetic moments lying in the basal plane of the tetragonal lattice. A metamagnetic transition with a magnetization jump of 0.5 μ B is observed at Bc = 8.5 T (at 2 K) applied along the a-axis. The anisotropic behavior persists above TN.

CeCoGe je antiferomagnet s magnetickým momentem Ce ležícím v bazální rovině tetragonální mřížky. Magnetické pole Bc = 8.5 T (při 2 K) podél a-osy vyvolá metamagnetický přechod se skokem magnetizace 0.5 μ B. Anizotropní chování přetrvává až nad TN.
