This study examines the effects of plasma surface treatments on the properties of waste glass powder incorporated into cement-based materials, focusing on its influence on the interfacial transition zones and mechanical performance. Surface modifications were carried out using oxygen and hydrogen plasma treatments to enhance the reactivity of the waste glass powder. Cement composites with 10% and 20% replacement of cement with oxygen plasma-treated waste glass powder showed compressive strengths of 97.7 MPa and 90.0 MPa, respectively, after 90 days. This represents an increase of 10% to 15% compared to the reference samples without treatment. These enhancements are attributed to the creation of hydrophilic surface properties, which promote better hydration reactions and pozzolanic activity.
