Hlavním cílem práce bylo srovnávací hodnocení vybraných diagnostických metod zjišťujících ,,in situ“ nedestruktivně nebo semi-destruktivně vlastnosti dřeva. Výsledky získané různými metodami byly vzájemně korelovány a následně porovnávány s výsledky zkoušek provedených na normovaných vzorcích získaných z testovaných konstrukcí – autentického historického materiálu různého stáří a použití.

The main aim of the work it was a critical evaluation of selected diagnostic methods used “in situ” for finding of wood properties in nondestructive or minor destructive way. Results obtained by means of different methods were correlated mutually and then they were compared to the results from testing on standard samples obtained from surveyed constructions, i.e. on authentic historical materials of different use and age. Selected evaluated diagnostic methods included the ultrasound device Arborsonic Decay Detector, the microdrilling Resistograph, the wedging indentor Pilodyn, the compression radial core testing, endoscopes and hygroscopes. .
