As the torque ratio of RTPP and ABS was about 2, phase co-continuity in the blends was achieved at ABS volume fractions around 0.16, which was evidenced by both microscopic analysis and mechanical testing. Selected mechanical properties (tensile modulus, yield strength and tensile impact strength) were confronted with a predictive model. Reasonable correspondence between experiment and theory was achieved for tensile modulus and yield strength, whereas the experimentally determined tensile impact strength of the blends was lower than theoretical prediction.
