Anotace | Spectroscopic methods are very useful and effective in investigation of air pollution. Absorption spectra of some gaseous atmospheric pollutants: ethanol (as a light model pollutant), sulphur hexafluoride (as a heavy model pollutant) and ozone (as a reactive model pollutant) were studied by Fourier-transform and diode-laser infrared spectroscopy for analytical application of CO2 laser photoacoustic spectrometry. Employing diode-laser spectroscopy, a pressure broadening of the above-mentioned model pollutants was observed and coincidence of the measured spectra and CO2 laser emission lines was investigated within the 9-10 m region. The CO2 laser photoacoustic spectrometry (PAS) was consequently applied as an analytical tool in the frame of physical modeling of a light, heavy and reactive pollutant dispersion within an urban scale model.
