Major previously inferred historical events received support from the NCPA. Some processes were not inferred likely due to insufficient genetic variation. The NCPA interpretation of the significant pattern within the Danube river basin as reflecting isolation by distance should be taken with caution, because similar patterns can reflect nonequilibrium conditions, such as population growth.
