The aim of this work was to study relationship between total IgE and specific IgE to cat, dog, birch, and dust mites (D. pteronyssinus and D. farinae) in Russian patients with asthma from Tomsk, Thumen and Irkutsk (Siberia, Russia) and compare our data with results of Erwin et al. (2007). In the present publication, we supported results of Erwin et al. and demonstrated that allergen-specific IgE might not contribute prominently to the level of total IgE. Similar to data from Sweden, cat-specific IgE did not correlate significantly to high total IgE even though cat is a major allergen in Siberia.

Cílem této práce bylo určit vztah mezi celkovým a specifickým IgE produkovaným po setkání s alergenem z kočky, psa, pylu břízy a roztočů (D. pteronyssinus and D. farinae) u ruských pacientů s astmatem z Tomska, Ťumeně a Irkutska (Sibiř, Rusko) a srovnat tato data s výsledkem Erwin a kol. (2007). Tato publikace podporuje výsledky Erwina a kol. a demonstruje, že alergen specifický IgE nemusí významně přispívat k hladině celkového IgE. Podobně jako u dat ze Švédka pro kočku specifické IgE nekoreluje signifikantně s vysokým celkovým IgE i když kočka je hlavní allergen na Sibiři.
