Properties of plasmas produced by the interaction of 1-ps and 0,5-ns high-intensity laser pulses with Au massive target are investigated and compared. The measurements for both pulses were performed at the same experimental conditions for similar ranges of laser energy densities but for significantly different laser intensities.
