For the bright southern Be star 28 CMa, 175 He I profiles of high spectral and temporal resolution obtained mostly in January 1996 as well as more than 600 original photometric observations in the Stromgren and Geneva system are published. Anlysis published in two MNRAS papers is briefly summarized.
