The astronomical work of Cristannus de Prachaticz, the Prague scholar of the beginning of the 15th century, is briefly introduced. His treatises on the astrolabe, which are sometime incorrectly attributed either to Robertur Anglicus or Prosdocimus de Beldomandi, were very influential and they were the first printed books on this subject.
