Studie se zabývá hrou Josefa Topola Kočka na kolejích (1965). Autorka nejprve představuje historický a divadelní kontext tohoto díla. Potom charakterizuje žánr a kompozici divadelní hry, dále rozebírá dramatický děj a z něho vyplývající čas a prostor, jakož i postavy ve hře zobrazené. Ve druhé části textu se autorka věnuje tematické a motivické analýze hry a její jazykové výstavbě.

The study deals with Josef Topol's play The Cat on the Rails (1965). The author first presents the historical and theatrical context of this work. It then characterizes the genre and composition of the play, then discusses the dramatic plot and the resulting time and space, as well as the characters depicted in the play. In the second part of the text, the author examines the thematic and motivic analysis of the play and its linguistic construction.
