Ohrožený druh? vychází ze statistických údajů získaných na základě průzkumu Ústavu pro českou literaturu Akademie věd ČR a Národní knihovny ČR. V rámci šetření byl v květnu až červnu 2023 dotazován reprezentativní vzorek celé české populace starší 15 let, který zahrnoval 2 010 anonymních respondentů (statistická odchylka 2,2 %), a to metodami CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) a CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview). Průzkum v roce 2023 byl zaměřen zejména na čtenářské asociace spojované se čtením.

A threatened species?draws on statistical data acquired through a survey conducted by both the Institute for Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the National Library of the Czech Republic. The survey questioned a representative sample of the whole Czech population aged 15 years and over, comprising 2,010 anonymous respondents (statistical variation 2,2 %), between May and June, 2023, using the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) and CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview) methods. The 2023 survey was focused in particular on our reading-related associations.
