Klíčová slova: Consumer Rights Directive * Implementation in Czech Republic * re-codification of Civil law * Enforcement issues
The CRD should have become the cornerstone of consumer contract law directives (including Unfair Contract terms D, Consumer Sale of goods, Doorstep selling D, Distance selling D), but the scope of the CRD was very reduced in the EU legislative procedure, although regarding information duties has importance also for traditional shopping. Finally, the CRD became a codification of two predecessor Directives with a more coherent approach, and took also the digital content with specific information duties in account. – Modest improvement, even if the Directive brought a lot of concretisation, and unified provision for withdrawal.
