Článek se zamýšlí nad interpretačními možnostmi dialogu Euthyfrón. Autor v první části dialog krátce představí a ukáže problematické momenty, které vedly k velmi odlišným přístupům v literatuře. Poté autor vysvětluje, že zástupci českého bádání o dialogu Euthyfrón zároveň zastupují tyto odlišné přístupy. Ve třetí části se autor vyrovnává se sice pronikavou, avšak vysoce subjektivní interpretací Patočkovou. Poté přistupuje k sice erudované a vyvážené, avšak zase příliš opatrné interpretaci Novotného. Nakonec autor analyzuje interpretaci Aleše Havlíčka, kterou označí za vrchol českého bádání a mimořádně podařenou interpretaci i v mezinárodním měřítku. Havlíček se nicméně soustředí na problematiku idejí, takže zbývá řada otevřených otázek, kterým se autor věnuje v závěru článku.

The article deals with interpretative possibilities of the dialogue Euthyphro. First, the author introduces the dialogue briefly and then proves the problematic moments that have led to very different approaches in literature. Then he explains that representatives of the Czech research of the dialogue Euthyphro also represent these different approaches. Third, the author discusses Patočka's strindent but highly subjective interpretation. Thereafter the author approaches the, however erudite and balanced, too cautious interpretation of Novotný. Finally, the interpretation of Aleš Havlíček is analyzed. The author claims Havlíček's 'Vertical Reading' to represent the top of the Czech research and its interpretation to be extremely well done also internationally. However, Havlíček focuses on the issues of ideas, leaving a number of open questions, which the author deals with at the end of the article. Chief among these is criticism of Homer.
