Effects of 2-day therapy with the adenosine A3 receptor agonist, IB-MECA, on proliferation state of the granulopoietic and erythropoietic compartments of mouse bone marrow were investigated. Significant negative correlation between the control proliferation state and the increase of cell proliferation after IB-MECA treatment was found. These results suggest the homeostatic character of the induced stimulatory effects and the need to respect the functional state of the target tissue when investigating effects of adenosine receptor agonists under in vivo conditions.
Tyto výsledky naznačují homeostatický charakter indukovaných stimulačních efektů a potřebu respektovat funkční stav cílové tkáně při studiu účinků agonistů adenosinových receptorů in vivo.
