L’argomento della relazione si basava sul fatto che nella trama delle opere venivano incorporati figure di un altro mondo, che poi spesso svolgevano ruoli chiave nella trama. Queste erano varie Divinità, Muse, Giganti e atri. Nettuno veniva spesso raffigurato nel mare, ma più spesso le sue statue apparivano sulle fontane. Ha avuto spesso un ruolo importante sul palcoscenico dell'opera, ad esempio nell’Idomeneo di Mozart, dove ha avuto un’influenza significativa sulla trama.

The argument of the study was based on the fact that figures from another world were incorporated into the plot of the works, often playing key roles in the plot. These were various Deities, Muses, Giants and others. Neptune was often depicted in the sea, but more often his statues appeared on fountains. He often had an important role on the opera stage, for example in Mozart’s Idomeneo, where he had a significant influence on the plot.
