Autorská monografie o trampingu, zaměřující se na různé stránky bohaté stoleté historie i pestré každodennosti trampské subkultury, směřuje ke zhodnocení odkazu tohoto fenoménu, jak se projevuje v současnosti, tedy v posledních třiceti letech. Práce o dědictví českého trampingu se snaží splnit vytčené cíle – pojednat o nejdůležitějších aspektech tohoto českého (potažmo i slovenského) kulturního jevu, představit jeho současný stav a zjistit význam, jaký měl a dodnes má nejen pro své nositele, ale také pro širší, tedy i ne-trampskou, veřejnost.

The author's monography about tramping, focusing on various aspects of the rich centuries-old history as well as the colorful everyday life of the tramping subculture, aims to evaluate the legacy of this phenomenon as it manifests itself in the present, i.e. in the last thirty years. The work on the heritage of Czech tramping tries to fulfill the set goals - to discuss the most important aspects of this Czech (and therefore Slovak) cultural phenomenon, to present its current state and to find out the significance it had and still has today not only for its bearers, but also for a wider audience, i.e. the non-tramp public.
