Výstava představila základní okruhy života prvních zemědělců, jak nám je umožňují poznat archeologické výzkumy. Jak bydleli, čím se zabývali, jak se živili – to vše přiblížily výsledky výzkumů v Bylanech u Kutné Hory, kde byl proveden jeden z nejdůležitějších odkryvů sídelního areálu neolitické kultury s lineární keramikou (5600-5000 př. n. l.) v Evropě. Na výstavě bylo možno vidět výběr všech nejdůležitějších nálezů, které se podařilo v průběhu výzkumů získat, včetně zcela unikátních předmětů. Prezentovány byly jak archivní záběry z terénních výzkumů, tak i digitální 3D muzeum s virtuální galerií bylanských artefaktů a virtuální prohlídkou neolitické osady. Výstavu připravil pro České muzeum stříbra Archeologický ústav AV ČR, Praha, v.v.i., který v regionu dlouhodobě působí a jehož současné regionální pracoviště v Kutné Hoře je transformací původní terénní základny v Bylanech. Návštěvníci výstavy ocenili možnost vidět, jaké stopy zanechala nejstarší historie v místě, kde žijí, sledovat proměny vědeckého bádání v průběhu času a vyzkoušet si moderní způsoby prezentace archeologických nálezů.

The exhibition presented the basic spheres of the life of the first farmers as archaeological excavations allow us to know them. How they lived, what they did, how they made a living - all this was brought closer by the results of the excavations in Bylany near Kutná Hora, where one of the most important discoveries of a settlement area of the Neolithic culture with linear pottery (5600-5000 BC) in Europe was made. The exhibition featured a selection of all the most important finds that were recovered during the excavations, including completely unique objects. Archival images from the field excavations were presented, as well as a digital 3D museum with a virtual gallery of Bylany artefacts and a virtual tour of the Neolithic settlement. The exhibition was prepared for the Czech Museum of Silver by the Institute of Archaeology of the CAS, Prague, v.v.i., which has been active in the region for a long time and whose current regional workplace in Kutná Hora is a transformation of the original field base in Bylany. Visitors to the exhibition appreciated the opportunity to see what traces the earliest history has left in the place where they live, to observe the changes in scientific research over time and to try out modern ways of presenting archaeological findings.
