To mark the occasion of 100th birthday of the late Professor Pavel Oliva, the conference “Ancient History and Ancient Historians: Dis Manibus Pavel Oliva” was held in Villa Lanna on 22nd-24 th November 2023. The three keynote lectures and eleven papers that were given focused on various topics concerning Greco-Roman antiquity, its reception in the modern world, and history of classical scholarship, with special emphasis on topics treated by prof. Pavel Oliva and on his life.
