Předložená studie se věnuje metodologickým pohledům na problematiku panovnického ceremoniálu v raném novověku. Hlavní důraz je kladen na dané téma ve středoevropském kontextu, stranou však nezůstávají ani podněty západoevropské historiografie. Celkovým rámcem je posun historiografického diskurzu od dějin správy (dvorských institucí) po kulturalistický pohled na dvůr jako místo privilegované komunikace.

The present study is devoted to methodological perspectives on the issue of monarchical ceremony in the early modern period. The main emphasis is placed on the topic in the Central European context, but the suggestions of Western European historiography are not left aside. The overall framework is a shift in historiographical discourse from the history of administration (court institutions) to a culturalist view of the court as a place of privileged communication.
