The final workshop was dedicated to the concept of a just transition to a low carbon economy and the presentation of the framework report for national policy makers 'Just and robust transitions to net zero'. My contribution focused on business engagement in a just transition in light of international standards for responsible business conduct. These now explicitly state that businesses are expected, in their due diligence, to address social impacts both in transition away from high-emission practices and towards greener industries in line with just transition, including impacts on workers and communities.
