Studie je úvodem ke knize György Lukácse „Lenin. Studie o souvislosti jeho myšlenek“. Situuje tuto knihu do celku Lukácsova dosavadního díla, ukazuje, jaké místo v tomto celku kniha zaujímá, a naznačuje, jak se Lukácsovo myšlení dále vyvíjelo. Přibližuje základní koncepty knihy, naznačuje její souvislost s „Dějinami a třídním vědomím“ i s tehdejšími politickými kontextem. Ukazuje, jak kniha přispěla do tehdejších politických debat, mapuje proměnu její recepce v průběhu dalšího století a analyzuje její teoretický význam.

The study is an introduction to György Lukács’ book “Lenin. A study on the context of his ideas”. It situates the book within the whole of Lukács's work up to that moment, showing what position the book occupies theoretically and politically in that whole and indicating how Lukács’s thought developed further. The paper outlines the book’s basic concepts, suggesting its relationship to “History and Class Consciousness” and to the political context of the time. It shows how the book contributed to the political debates of the time, and traces the transformation of its reception over the next century, analyzing its theoretical significance.
