In recent years, development of magnetic nanoparticles has been in the forefront of material research and development. Researchers have increasingly become interested in new ways of preparation, modification and characterization of magnetic nanoparticles. Using external fields has become extremely important. Various methods have been developed to reach a better quality of samples for further application in technology. This chapter discusses magnetic fluids and their composite systems as bioinspired magnetic nanoparticles, textiles, fibers, transformer oil based magnetic fluids or liquid crystals. The described materials and processes have a great application potential in biomedicine and techniques.
