This review focuses on the capillary electrophoresis (CE) of yeasts and filamentous molds. After brief introduction and theoretical basis of the CE, it describes surface properties of fungal cells in relation to their charge, major difficulties regarding CE of fungal species along with the approaches to overcome these difficulties. Some advances in fungal CE are also presented.
