The article represents rather historical overview of the development of electrochemical science in Czechoslovakia (currently Czechia) after the Second World War. The stress is given to the continuity of the electrochemical investigations in various research fields from the past until today which is connected with the names of the main experts and contributors which should not be forgotten.
