The Scientific Program comprised three sessions related to the ICDP Eger rift volcanic maar drilling. The new volcanic maar-diatreme structure in Bažina (Libá) was investigated in the West Bohemia and the first results were presented. The topic themes intended to bring together geoscientists working in different fields and included presentation of the collected data with results from near surface geophysics, borehole well-logging and lithology data. The other sessions were aimed at presenting scientific plans with the drilling core samples by different scientific groups complemented by plans and scientific aims of the another volcanic maar drilling in Neualbenreuth in Germany.
