Komplexy sepulkrálních památek rodových nekropolí odrážejí významnou měrou dobový uměleckohistorický, historický a konfesijní kontext. Vztah ke smrti, k zemřelým předkům a vizualizace / materializace tohoto vztahu jsou jedním z podstatných jednotících fenoménů evropské kultury daného období. Konference byla zaměřena interdisciplinaritu a metody přístupu k danému fenoménu.

The complexes of sepulchral monuments of aristocratic necropolises reflect to a significant extent the contemporary art-historical, historical and confessional context. The relationship to death, to deceased ancestors and the visualisation/materialisation of this relationship are one of the essential unifying phenomena of European culture of the period. The conference focused on interdisciplinarity and methods of approaching the phenomenon.
