The English musician and publisher Vincent Novello (1781–1861), best known in Czech cultural consciousness as the publisher of several great works by Antonín Dvořák, describes in a hitherto unknown letter to the double bassist and composer Domenico Dragonetti (1763–1846) his meeting in Salzburg with Mozart's sister Nannerl and brings several authentic testimonies about her. The second letter describes the achievements of Novello's daughter, the singer Clara (1818–1908) in Germany, who gave a concert in Prague in the fall of 1838.
