Východiskem ze stagnace jaderné energetiky je vývoj nových malých pasivně bezpečných modulárních reaktorů umožňujících snížit komerční i technologická rizika, a intenzifikace vývoje nových reaktorů na bázi jaderné fúze. Malé a mikro modulární reaktory představují významný krok ve vývoji jaderných zdrojů energie. Veřejné mínění ale může výrazně omezit jejich použití. V dlouhodobém horizontu je východiskem ze stagnace jaderné energetiky integrace fúzních elektráren.

The way out of the stagnation of the nuclear power industry is the development of new small passively safe modular reactors reducing commercial and technological risks, and the intensification of the development of new reactors based on nuclear fusion. Small and micro modular reactors represent an important step in the development of nuclear sources of energy. However, public opinion can significantly limit their use. In the long term, the starting point for the stagnation of the nuclear power industry is the integration of fusion power plants.
