Konferenci organizovalo Oddělení analytické filosofie (Filosofický ústav, Akademie věd České republiky) ve spolupráci s Výborem pro vzdělávání, vědu, kulturu, lidská práva a petice (Senát Parlamentu České republiky). Konference byla věnována problematice nenávistných projevů (hate speech) vůči rozmanitým společenským skupinám v ČR – národnostním, náboženským apod. Hovořili jsme o těchto otázkách: Jaké jsou hlavní podoby hate speech v ČR? Jak se hate speech nejčastěji šíří? Mohou se autoři nenávistných projevů legitimně dovolávat svobody slova? Jaký je vztah mezi hate speech a zločiny z nenávisti? Jaké jsou nejúčinnější způsoby redukování hate speech ve veřejném prostoru? Konference se zúčastnili politici (např. senátor Jiří Drahoš), akademici (např. Sylvie Graf z Psychologického ústavu AV ČR) či zástupci neziskové sféry (např. Lukáš Houdek z iniciativy HateFree Culture).

The conference was organized by the Department of Analytical Philosophy (Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic) in cooperation with the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions (Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic). The conference was devoted to the issue of hate speech against various social groups in the Czech Republic - national, religious, etc. We discussed the following questions: What are the main forms of hate speech in the Czech Republic? How is hate speech most often spread? Can the authors of hate speech legitimately invoke freedom of speech? What is the relationship between hate speech and hate crimes? What are the most effective ways of reducing hate speech in public space?) The conference was attended by politicians (e.g. Senator Jiří Drahoš), researchers (e.g. Sylvie Graf from the Institute of Psychology of the CAS) and representatives of the non-profit sector (e.g. Lukáš Houdek from the HateFree Culture initiative).
