    In this contribution, we compare a newly introduced high free volume fluorinated 6FDA-polyimide, namely 6FDA-bisP with excellent gas separation properties (CO2/CH4 selectivity, (XCO2/CH4 of 25.5, CO2 permeability, Pco2 of 35.3 Barrer) to the well-investigated, lower free volume 6FDA-ODA (асо2/сн4 = 20.6; Pco2 — 25.9 Barrer). These polyimides were used as the polymeric matrix in the preparation of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs). The size sieving zeolitic imidazolate framework ZIF-8 (particle size of <160 nm) was used as filler. The ZIF-8 loadings were in the range of 5 to 20 wt.%.
