Když se stočí řeč na psaní odborných textů v období socialismu, pamětníci často vzpomínají na to, že pro dovedení publikačního procesu do zdárného konce bylo zapotřebí do textu vmístit nějakou rituální úlitbu marxisticko-leninské ideologii. Taková úlitba umožnila publikovat téměř cokoliv. Ve svém příspěvku vyjdu z analýzy odborných článků a knih československých etnografů a folkloristů ze 70. a 80. let a pokusím se zaujmout kritický odstup od zmíněného pamětnického narativu. Zproblematizuji samotnou představu úlitby, poukáži na relativně vysokou míru variability v užívání úliteb stejně jako na existenci textů, které žádné úlitby neobsahovaly. Takovou variabilitu se pak pokusím vyložit s ohledem na mocenské vztahy panující uvnitř oboru. V závěru svého příspěvku se pokusím nastínit další možnosti komparativního studia projevů marxisticko-leninské ideologie v odborném psaní.

When it comes to the writing of professional texts in the period of socialism, witnesses often recall that in order to bring the publication process to a successful end, it was necessary to insert some kind of ritual libation of Marxist-Leninist ideology into the text. Such an indulgence made it possible to publish almost anything. In my contribution, I will start with the analysis of professional articles and books by Czechoslovak ethnographers and folklorists from the 1970s and 1980s, and I will try to take a critical distance from the aforementioned memorial narrative. I will problematize the very idea of a libation. I will point out the relatively high degree of variability in the use of libations as well as the existence of texts that did not contain any libations. I will then try to explain such variability with regard to the power relations prevailing within the field. At the end of my paper, I will try to outline other possibilities for the comparative study of manifestations of Marxist-Leninist ideology in professional writing.
