Virtual exhibition is an important complementary counterpart to physical exhibitions which allow global visitors to access the digital space 24/7. Open virtual platforms have become more important during the pandemic and continue to be valuable in this era of post-pandemic in breaking the barriers of time and space. This presentation is a narrative of a virtual exhibition project of the Library of the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences in Czech Republic. Beyond being a testament of the institution's evolution, the conceptualization of this initiative makes the institution's historical memory accessible. The virtual exhibit builds on infrastructure for curating data and public display by considering the important aspects such as system architecture design, and use of various open source software. Curating historical information that provides visual historical experience, as one of the programs developed in libraries, enhances the social fabric for preserving national identity and organizational value.
