Výukový text je zaměřen na konzervování-restaurování nízkopálené nestabilní keramiky, stabilní pórovité keramiky i materiálů se slinutým střepem, tj. kameniny a porcelánu. Podává ucelený přehled o vhodných postupech pro zpracování různých typů archeologických i historických keramických artefaktů. V úvodní části je uvedena stručná technologie výroby, následuje souhrn vhodných metod pro hodnocení stupně poškození, postupy odběru vzorků a doporučené analýzy pro identifikaci chemického a mineralogického složení keramiky i glazur. Druhá část již popisuje možnosti čištění, postupy konsolidace, lepení a doplňování chybějících fragmentů a případné retuše jak střepové hmoty, tak dekoračních vrstev. Obsahuje rovněž zásady pro vhodné uložení restaurovaných artefaktů. V poslední části jsou uvedené dvě restaurátorské zprávy, první je konzervátorsko-restaurátorský zásah nestabilního keramického artefaktu a druhá restaurování porcelánové mlékovky.

The tutorial text is focused on conservation-restoration of low-fired unstable ceramics, stable porous ceramics and materials with sintered shards, i.e. stoneware and porcelain. It provides a comprehensive overview of suitable procedures for processing various types of archaeological and historical ceramic artifacts. The introduction presents a brief production technology, followed by a summary of suitable methods for assessing the degree of damage, sampling procedures and recommended analysis to identify the chemical and mineralogical composition of ceramics and glazes. The second part describes the cleaning options, procedures of consolidation, gluing and filling of missing fragments and possible retouching of both shard mass and decorative layers. It also contains guidelines for the proper storage of restored artifacts. In the last part there are two restoration reports, the first is a conservation and restoration intervention of an unstable ceramic artifact and the second is the restoration of a porcelain milk jug.
