Katalog k výstavě Obraz národnostních menšin v regionech představuje rozmanitost kultur lidí různých národností žijících v různých obdobích v pohraničí Tachova a Vejprtského kraje s cílem zachovat jejich příběhy, včetně popisu předmětů, které tyto lidi doprovázely, a věnovat se i jejich duchovním tradicím. Oba výše uvedené regiony jsou srovnávány s moravským Šumperkem a slezským Krnovem z hlediska jejich minulé a současné národnostní struktury obyvatelstva, kde se některé podobné jevy projevují v materiální a duchovní kultuře. V nedávné historii byla tato kultura ovlivněna i vlnami osídlenců ze Slovenska, slovenskými í reemigranty z Rumunska a Ukrajiny, Čechy z Volyně, i Čechy z Polska. Projevily se zde vplyvy českých osídlenců, kteří se usadili v oblasti Tachova (pocházející z jižních Čech a Českého lesa), v oblasti Vejprtska (lidé z Lounska a Žatecka), v regionu Šumperska (osídlenci ze Zlínska a Olomoucka). Rovněž do regionu Krnovska přišli a jeho hmotnou a duchovní kulturu ovlivnili osídlence ze Zlínska, Olomoucka, Ostravska, Valašska. Výstava je zaměřena na národnostní menšiny a katalog je věnován jejich kultuře.

The catalogue concerning the exhibition Image of National Minorities in Regions presents the diversity of cultures of people of various nationalities living in various eras in the borderlands of the Tachov and Vejprty region, with the aim to preserve their stories, including the description of items that accompanied these people, and also to address their spiritual traditions. Both the aforementioned regions are compared to the Moravian Šumperk and Silesian Krnov regions in terms of their past and the present population’s nationality structure, where certain similar phenomena show in the material culture and spiritual culture. In the recent history, this culture was impacted by the same waves of settlers from Slovakia, Slovak re-emigrants from Romania and Ukraine, Czechs from Volhynia, and Czech expellees from Poland. There were various and dominating impacts of Czech settlers that settled in the Tachov region (coming from South Bohemia and the Bohemian Forest), in the Vejprty region (coming from the Žatec and Louny regions), in the Šumperk region (coming from Zlín and its surroundings and from the Olomouc region), and in the Krnov region (coming also from Zlín and from the Olomouc region). The exhibition is focused on national minorities, and the catalogue is dedicated to their culture.
