Im Artikel wird auf Grundlage einer Korpusabfrage für Verben mit dem Präfix po- im diachronen Obersorbischen Korpus Hotko untersucht, welche Rolle dieses Präfix für den obersorbischen Aspekt spielt. Bisherige Untersuchungen lassen vermuten, dass po- im Obersorbischen kaum rein aspektuell gebraucht wird. Diese These wird durch die im Artikel besprochenen Korpusdaten bestätigt. Desweiteren wird im Artikel besprochen, ob und wie sich der Gebrauch von Verben mit po- im Sorbischen ändert und welche Rolle dabei Lehnprägungen spielen.

In the article, based on a corpus query for verbs with the prefix po- in the diachronic Upper Sorbian corpus Hotko, the role of this prefix for Upper Sorbian aspect is investigated. Previous research suggests that po- is hardly used in Upper Sorbian in a purely aspectual way. This thesis is confirmed by the corpus data discussed in the article. Furthermore, the article discusses whether and how the use of verbs with po- changes in Sorbian and what role loan coinages play in this process.
