In this work, binary mixed oxides combining Ni with cations of other transition metals, namely Co, Cu and Mn, were obtained by calcination (4 h at 500 °C in air) from precursors prepared by coprecipitation of aqueous nitrate solutions with NaOH and Na2CO3. The obtained mixed oxide catalysts were
characterized by different methods (powder XRD, H2-TPR and N2 physisorption) and tested in the total oxidation of ethanol.
