Das Buch bildet eine vom Autor selbst erstellte, überarbeitete und erweiterte deutsche Fassung seines ursprünglich auf tschechisch verfassten Textes “Jedno tělo. Co se mění a nemění v katolickém učení o manželstí” (2021). Der Autor untersucht darin die biblischen Grundlagen der katholischen Ehelehere und wie sich diese im Laufe der Jahrhunderte entwickelt hat. Als Historiker reflektiert er über die Frage, was in der katholischen Ehelehre Änderungen und Entwicklungen unterliegt und was dagegen konstant und unverändert bleibt.

The book represents a revised and expanded German version, written by the author himself, of his text published originally in Czech and entitled “Jedno tělo. Co se mění a nemění v katolickém učení o manželství” (2021). The author examines in it the biblical foundations of the Catholic teaching on marriage and how it develops across the centuries. As a historian, he reflects on the question as to what in the Catholic teaching on marriage is subject to change and development and what on the contrary remains constant and unchanging.
