Práca prináša výsledky priestorovej analýzy výskytu luxusných plodín (najme pestované ovocie a zelenina) v sídelných areáloch mikulčickej aglomerácie. Prítomnosť týchto typov plodín sú jedným z najvhodnejších dokladov prítomnosti vyššie postavených vrstiev obyvateľstva. Preto bolo zámerom práce stanoviť a definovať rozdiely medzi centrálnymi, opevnenými a neopevnenými časťami aglomerácie. Výskyt druhov, ktoré možno považovať za tzv. statusové plodiny je špecificky viazaných na centrálne areáli mikulčickej aglomerácie, kde sú doložené najhonosnejšie cirkevné stavy, ale aj iné artefakty ktoré sú dokladom najvyšších sociálnych vrstiev včasnostredovekého obyvateľstva . V neopevnených areáloch (v podhradí a periférií hradiska) sa v archeobotanických súboroch vyskytujú luxusné plodiny menej často. Nateraz súčasné archeobotanické zistenia neindikujú, že by obyvatelia žijúci v opevnených a neopevnených areáloch hradiska, mali výrazne odlišné, resp. iné základné potravinové stratégie. Rozdiel je len v plodinách, ktoré slúžili na obohatenie veľkomoravského jedálnička.

This paper presents the results of the spatial analysis of the occurrence of luxury crops in the residential areas of the Mikulčice agglomeration. This type of fruits can be considered evidence of the presence of higher social levels of the inhabitants. Therefore, we decided to define the differences between the central fortified and the unfortified parts of the agglomeration. Fruit that can be considers representative of a certain social status is restricted to the central area of the Mikulčice agglomeration with the most sumptuous Church structures and other artefacts witnessing the presence of the highest social levels of the early medieval population. Imported fruits appear only rarely in the archaeobotanical assemblages from the unfortified areas (such as the suburbium and the periphery of the stronghold). Meanwhile, the current archaeobotanical findings do not indicate contrasting nutrition strategies between the inhabitants of the fortified and unfortified areas of the stronghold: it is only that some enriched their diet by exotic ingredients.
