The ArucoLT software is intended for long term monitoring of cracks and notches in buildings. The quantification of displacements is performed using image analysis of Aruco markers, which have to be glued/attached to the planar 2D surface of the measured object. It allows the user to assess the displacement of the markers over time without having the need of a sensor permanently attached to the surface. The method is low-cost and when properly used can attain precision of displacement around 0.1 pixel. It is not suited for strain measurements, since the number of markers is rather low, it could be used rather for displacement control and rigid body motion estimation
