It is a polemics with the Thomas DaCosta Kaufmann´s critique of the Art in the Czech Lands, 800–2000 (Prague, 2018). The editors of that volume are convinced, in the contradiction to the DaCosta Kaufmann opinion, that the continual narration is not mandatory for an extensive art-historical synthesis.
